Jellyfish at Stavanger

Whist harboured at Stavanger on day six of our cruise, we watched with interest jellyfish in the harbour. Here is a short video taken by myself. Other pictures can be seen by clicking on "Day 6" above.

At Stavanger, we do not know quite on which side we will harbour until it happens.
 We harboured on the side of the old town.

All these houses are of timber construction and mostly painted white with blue doors.

What will the weather be like?

Here in England in July we have had some awful weather. We were wondering what to pack for this Norwegian cruise. Sou'wester?  Woolly jumpers? quite difficult to know.

So we have been surfing the internet to see if any one is giving us a clue.

Getting Excited

Here we are with only 6 days to go before our Norwegian cruise.
This will be the first time we sale from Southampton England and into Northern waters.
I am only taking my Galaxy with me, so I am not sure if I can make any posts directly.
But as soon as I return I will build a story similar to our last cruise.

Fjords time to book

Having sailed in November/December 2011 in the Caribbean [LINK] on the Azura we decided to take another cruise on the same ship. We also decided for a completely different destination. We have cruised the Caribbean twice and the Mediterranean twice. The last cruise in the  Mediterranean after my  mother had been diagnosed to need chemo. We took her on a cruise seeing Malta and other places in the Mediterranean. This time, why not the Fjords? On the last Caribbean cruise it was very wet - but warm. The Fjords wont be warm and it may be wet. You expect that kind of weather in the northern hemisphere. We have more clothes for that kind of weather than we do for hot sunshine.

Anyway today we booked the cruise for us and two travelling companions.
